この曲はKOJOEがNYに居る時にレゲエのクラブで良く知られるBROOKLYNのChurchAve沿いにあるTemptationsとゆうクラブで働くバーテンを実際に口説いた時の事を歌った歌。笑KOJOEは彼女をものにし帰国後KOJOEに会いに彼女は日本まで遥々飛んで来る程の関係に発展したとの噂も。現在どうなったかは誰も知らない。サビに入ってるサンプルを早くした声は実はKOJOE。いろいろ引き出しを持ってるKOJOEだが今回のレディーシットを男女関係無く楽しんでください。

This week’s Kojoe Tuesdays song is for the ladies. “Sunshine” is a crowd favorite when performed live, as Kojoe raps and sings to the women in the audience. The smooth Rap&B track was produced by Streets, whose North Carolina upbringing and ear for music let him work with artists in Japan and abroad. Kojoe Tuesdays: Kojoe’s Take on Setsubun “Throw Beans On Da Devils”

What does it mean to throw beans on the devil? If you ask Kojoe, his answer will be his rendition of the Japanese tradition of Setsubun, or this week’s Kojoe Tuesdays song, “Throw Beans On Da Devils.” Setsubun (seh-tsu-boon) is a tradition observed around February 3rd, as the of the first day of spring on the Japanese lunar calendar.  Demons are cast out of homes and happiness is welcomed in by throwing dried beans outside the door and saying, “Oni wa soto (Go out demons). Fuku wa uchi (Come in happiness).”  This same technique has been figuratively flipped by Kojoe to represent an act to toss the devils and demons out of the lives of everyone who tries. Pay attention to who Kojoe is throwing beans on in his English and Japanese verses of his Setsubun.

今週の 【KOJOE火曜日】は“Throw Beans On Da Devils”今年2月3日「節分」の日にKOJOEとENTokyo代表のDaisha Hunter氏が”鬼に向かって豆を投げるってかっこよくない？”と冗談で英語で「鬼に豆を投げる(Throw Beans On Da Devils)」と歌い出したのがきっかけで出来た曲。「節分」など今更ここで説明する必要はないが豆を鬼に投げると言う動作が英語で表現してみるとたま らなくいかしてて、特にアメリカ人のDaisha氏にはかなりクールに聞こえたらしく半ば強制的にRecした曲である。(笑）Jay-Zの”Dirt Off Your Shoulder”みたいに人生何があっても肩についてる土を振り払ってクールに振る舞うのと同じで何か嫌な事があったり不吉な予感がしたらそんな事には 豆なげりゃあ大丈夫！日本の伝統と日本人のイルな表現を世界に広めたいと言う気持ちも強くこの曲をきっかけに「節分」や日本の文化に海外からの興味を持つ 人達が出てくる事を願う。世の中病んでる事や嫌な事があるだろう。節分の日とは限らず「鬼は外！福は内！」これからも韻と言う名の豆をまきまくる予定の KOJOEを見逃すな！！

RYU BLACK is heading out on the East Coast Expose the Industry Tour to support “PERFECT 天" the album tribute to the 20th anniversary of the Streetfighter II video game.  Tour stops will include Connecticut, New York City, New Jersey, & Washington D.C.

Multi talented producer/MC MeccaGodZilla recently donned the moniker RYU BLACK as a tribute to the 20 year anniversary of the Capcom’s Streetfighter II video game. On May 17, 2011 RYU BLACK’s debut musical titled "PERFECT 天" will feature a star studded indie cast including nerdcore veteran MegaRan, Canadian phenom Masia One, DC/Vertigo’s Ron Wimberly, Tokyo’s Mrs. Beatz aka DJ TOMOKO, ATL’s Arablak, Toronto Songstress Mariannie, Fresh Vetz’ Dashah and many more. The full-length, limited edition musical on CD (illustrated by Ron Wimberly) plays out as an audio story to give the listener a full cinematic experience.

"'PERFECT 天' is a soundtrack inspired by the story lines of Streetfighter” (says Cavalier of NRO) consisting of 15 songs. It is considered to be a nostalgic and adventurous experience dedicated to the fans of Streetfighter II anime and game play. Originally scheduled for 1-11-11, "PERFECT 天" was rescheduled to get the full support of Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity in Canada dedicated to solely overcoming ovarian cancer. 

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Ovarian Cancer Canada, Haiti and most recently Japan’s relief Earthquake and Tsunami relief efforts. “While living in Japan, Tokyo opened it’s arms to me with full support. I got to model with Tokyo Street brand Applebum, appear in a few magazines, work with a great producer from the Japanese label Jazzy Sport, and really connect with the Hip Hop scene. Japan is beautiful and I want to give back. ※From KOJOE 先週末4月29日に福島県郡山市のRE：LAX言う箱でイベントに行ってきました。そこで最高の出会いがあり自分と道とYOGAと一緒に現地の方に30日土曜日朝7時にパーティーが終わった後2時間の仮眠をとり午前10時に相馬市に連れてってもらい被災地を自身の目で見る事が出来ました。そこで見た事をと感じた事を正直に書かせてもらいます。

俺達が行ったのは礒部と松川浦です。約原発から30kmの地域です。もう約２ヶ月立ったにしろまだ津波の凄まじさ傷跡を残す地域を見せられ心の底から震撼しました。船が船の上にあったり、田んぼの真ん中に突き刺さる車。まだ海水と瓦礫に覆われる陸地。漂う異臭。ランダムにちらかる生活用品。書き始めたら終わりません。何故なら町全体が流された訳ですから、でも一番強く感じたのは福島県民の暖かさと強さです。松川浦の造船所がある辺りを歩いていたら原付に乗ったおじさん（長さん）が立ち止まり一言「どっから来たのぉ？」と笑顔で聞かれ話をしてみると、長さんの家など全て流された事やニュースじゃ南相馬がよく取り上げられているが実際松川浦や礒部近辺の方が住宅も多く多大な被害を被ったと言う。しかし常に笑顔で冗談も飛ばしつつ貴重な出会いをさせてもらいました。

そして相馬市を後にし道がMambow氏に会う為に仙台まで直行しMambow氏にも会ってきました。簡単に説明すると彼は震災直後から炊き出しなどのボランティア活動を自主的に始め仲間と震災以来9千食以上を提供し世界的にも最近注目されて来ました。「Bond & Justice」 http://bond-and-justice.com/ に是非行って活動内容を知ってください！そして広めてください！

自分も含めたくさんの人達がどこに募金したらいいか迷ったり手渡し感覚で実際に被災者にどうせなら渡したいが役所などに聞いてもたらい回しにされ結局動けてない人達が大勢いると思います。自分自身実際にMambow氏に一度会いたくて仙台に行きましたが彼に一目会い話をし即「Bond & Justice」のムーブメントを全力でサポート する事を決断しました。自分と道とYOGAも相馬市と気仙沼での炊き出しに参加する事に決めました。その日にちなどは追々伝えていきますが被災された県の中でも特に福島は原発がある事もあって観光客も足を運ばなくなり、土曜日の真っ昼間に店がほとんど閉まっていたりと厳しい過ぎる復興の道を目の前に福島県民の優しさと強さに触れる事が出来て本当に嬉しく思うと同時に自分の無力さを呪いたくなりました。 それと同時に福島で出会えた兄弟のお陰でMambow氏に会える事が出来て、縁と言うものは面白くそして感謝すべき物だと痛感しました。撮った映像やこれからの動きに炊き出しと支援の為の呼び掛けなどこれからアップデートしていくのでチェックしてください！！FUKUSHIMA STAND UP!!! http://bond-and-justice.com/
